Dr. Niamh Hart

Veterinarian, Fear Free Certified Professional

Dr. Niamh Hart received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2021 after completing a Bachelor’s in Biology and Environmental Studies at Florida State University in 2017. During vet school, she enjoyed a large breadth of study – including small animal medicine, large animal medicine, and wildlife rehab and research.

The integral role her family dogs played in her upbringing led to an immense appreciation for the bond between pet and owner; the joys of working in primary care are founded in supporting and sharing in this companionship each and every day. In general practice, Dr. Hart’s special interests are diagnostic imaging – specifically ultrasound, as well as dermatology and compassionate end-of-life care. Additionally, she is “Fear Free” certified to minimize patient stress in the hospital better.

While Dr. Hart actually enjoyed the cold and snowy winters of Minnesota, her native state of Florida called her home to family, friends, and – of course – the beaches! Outside of work, she enjoys reading, making art, and exploring all that Florida nature has to offer. Dr. Hart and her Lab mix, Boru, are excited to be a part of the Econ River community and to get to know you and your pet(s).

Kristin
Lead Veterinary Technician

I recently got married and moved to the Orlando area in November. My passion for animals started when I was really young, I’ve always had dogs and cats growing up and I always knew I wanted to go into the animal field one day. During high school I shadowed at an animal hospital in Ocala Fl, and really got to see how an animal hospital ran. I fell in love with the idea of being able to help and provide care for people’s four legged babies. I then graduated high school with my vet assistant certification back in 2017 and got hired as a kennel technician at the same animal hospital I shadowed at. I quickly got promoted to Veterinary technician and I’ve been in this field for 7 years. Animals are my passion, and my goal is to put a smile on your face and to care for your fur babies like they are my own, and to show compassion and empathy for worried pet parents.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, friends and family taking the boat out, going on a jeep ride, or going four wheeling.

I completed my certification as an agricultural associate in 2022 and am planning to complete my Vet tech certification later this fall. Outside of work I play tennis, go jet skiing, and love spending time with my family whenever I can.
